The building that houses Four Pegs has been home to various restaurants, watering holes, and mercantile establishments for nearly 150 years. Today it’s owned by Chris Williams, executive chef and pitmaster, who is also the proprietor of the Café 502 food truck. Since buying the property in 2018, Chris has transformed Four Pegs into one of Louisville’s premiere gastropubs, specializing in smoked foods and inventive dishes sure to please carnivores and vegetarians alike. (And for the REAL carnivores, there’s always the option of “The Greatest”- Louisville’s largest challenge burger!) Additionally, you can feel great about dining at Four Pegs because this eatery is not only a member of BuyBlackLou, they’re also avid supporters of charitable organizations such as Apron, Inc. and have held suicide prevention fundraisers such as ‘A Taste for Life’. And did we mention the patio is pet friendly?
So drop on by and say hi to Chris, Teresa, or any of our wonderful staff… that is if Chris isn’t off winning the 502 Chili Cookoff or The Food Network’s Big Bad BBQ Brawl.
